Too Many Consoles

What will happen when ‘competition’ in the cable TV market forces viewers who feel they cannot forgo their favourite programmes or sports events into installing more and more consoles and set-top boxes?

Will my TV cabinet be filled to the brim with consoles and other electronic devices?

I think the situation is nuts. As expensive as watching football on cable is going to get, I doubt I’ll give it up. Unless of course, Liverpool fails to get that vital 4th spot or win the title this year for a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League competition, then I might have to forgo it. Now there’s the question - should I subscribe to the Euro 2008 package when England are not playing in it?

Maybe I’ll support Spain instead.

David Archuleta - Prime Candidate For Britney-Like Breakdown

There have been reports that David Archuleta, my 2nd favourite Idol contestant after Danny Noriega, has a task-master of a dad who screamed at him during a recording session. It affected him so much that he screwed up his performance in front of the judges.

If this goes on when he’s secured a recording contract and becomes more famous and popular, with his father being so hard on him, I wouldn’t be surprised if he has some kind of mental breakdown in the future.

Red Carpet Antics At The Directors’ Guild Awards

The red carpet season is well and truly under way with another awards show tomorrow.

But if you’re to walk the red carpet, it’s probably not a good idea to be hoisted up in the arms of someone when you’re wearing a short dress. A near ‘oops’ moment is surely waiting to happen with the glare of the world’s media on you all along the red carpet.
