I have been trying to get my dad to wear jeans for the past 2 years, to you know, look cooler. Nada…not interested. Even my mom can’t get him to budge.

Haha! I don’t know about your dad, but I would think a nice pair of sandals would be more comfortable. My feet always feel ’squashed’ after wearing trainers or running shoes the whole day.
