They say imitation is the best form of flattery.
To celebrate the launch of their new album, Accelerate, R.E.M “went to places where people live their lives too fast and showed them how to decelerate.”
I still think the original Improv Everywhere video is better.
Initially, R.E.M’s version of the video on YouTube did not give credit to Improv Everywhere. But a one liner was subsequently added on the video page.

Update 2/4/08, 1808h: Video was taken down in order for R.E.M’s people to put the credits on the video. Kudos to them!
