This is my favourite and in my opinion, the best chilli sauce in the world! Lingham’s Chilli Sauce. It’s like the Tabasco sauce of the Asian condiment range.
Some interesting facts about the company that manufactures this chilli sauce:
The company is 100 years old. It was established in 1908.
Started by an Indian national but later sold to a Chinese family after World War II.
First manufactured to “pamper to the delights of the English masters” during the Colonial era.
Known as Lingham’s Hot Sauce in the USA.
The secret to its great taste is in the recipe that’s been preserved over the years and its ingredients continue to be red chilli, sugar, vinegar and salt.
Contains no preservatives, colouring matter, artificial flavours or bulking material like tomato puree.
Lingham & Sons’ products are sold in the UK, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Australia, NZ, Papua New Guinea, Pakistan, UAE, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Chile, Ukraine, Singapore and South Africa.
