Working On Saturday Feels Weird

I haven’t been to the office on a Saturday ever since the organization implemented the 5-day work week. To make up for the time that I am away from the office in order to be in class with Ajab, I had to come to work on one Saturday a month.

Came in to a near empty office. Got my long-neglected filing done. So peaceful!

That is not how my workstation usually looks like. God forbid! A neat-freak like me working in such a messy environment? Hell no!!

See the above picture? That’s how a neat-freak does his filing. Neatly arranged forms according to departments and sorted by dates in descending order. :D

After a half-day at work, it was off to pick up my mom and brother before heading home to fetch Trin and the kids before going to my grandmother’s place for the usual weekend, “laze-around and do nothing but eat” session. By the time we left in the evening, Ajab was exhausted and fell asleep in the car.

Strapped In And Asleep

Ayeed was still wide awake, flipping through the pages of my auto magazine as he patiently waited in the car for Trin to buy dinner. He also fell asleep soon after.

Research

I’m glad it’s just one Saturday a month. The long drive and the stupid, F*&CKED-up Central Expressway traffic jam at 10 in the morning on a Saturday, picking up people and going to my grandma’s was really exhausting.
