He screams. Sometimes. While playing. Or at the TV.

I suppose it’s because he’s excited. Like when the start of his favourite program comes on. Unable to coherently vocalize his joy, he ends up screaming.

Which is bad. Especially when Ayeed is sleeping soundly in the next room. We’d tell him not to scream. He’d look at us with the “what did I do wrong?” look. His screaming isn’t too bad, actually. It’s just a short, loud burst of about a second or so. But it is loud and it does get on our nerves.

I should be thankful that his screaming bouts are only limited to the occasional outbursts. Unlike other children with more severe problems than Ajab.
