Weeks overdue, but here it is at last - my favourite food meme that Anne tagged me with.
Although I’m a self-confessed carnivore, preferring meat to ‘rabbit food’, also known as ‘vegetables’, I do have a love for seafood. Any type of seafood! I could eat a whole table of oysters or a bucket of crabs if I had to. The fresher, the better!
I think I would be in heaven sitting somewhere in a fish market, savouring all manner of seafood caught fresh from the ocean.
OK, here’s the horny bit that Anne requested I did with regards to this meme:
Oysters, as you know are regarded as an aphrodisiac, but somehow they don’t have that effect on my mojo like they’re supposed to. Probably because my mojo’s at their maximum level. Any higher, I’d probably explode like a fembot. Oysters do have a high level of zinc, which is helpful in the libido department and I can’t deny that the texture of a fresh, succulent, juicy oyster resembles that of a ….. ahem!
Many believe that oysters were originally labeled “aphrodisiac” because of their shape. Upon close inspection, they somewhat resemble the female sex organ. This could be a reason why people in the past associated mussels with sexuality. Sexual appetite, more often than not, starts in the mind rather than in the body, so oysters could have a psychological effect on the libido.

Right, back to the food bit! My love for seafood isn’t just confined to fresh ones. Seafood in dishes like chioppino and pasta and pizza and soup and …. so many different ways to enjoy good quality seafood.
And what is sushi without a fresh bit of crab meat or roe? Yummy!
So there you have it …. my favourite food …. anything with seafood.
Although I must warn you that anyone serving me fried fish with plain rice and soy sauce will be met with an incredulous look of despair.
I’m supposed to tag someone else, but as with tradition, Moby does not tag anyone! Hurhur!! ![]()
